You may know the Arctic as a freezing, very chilly with a low climate around an immense area of thick, massive chunks of delicate glass. However, scientists found out that those death-temperatured locations contain very valuable resources. For instance the U.S. Geological Survey estimates approximately that ninety billion barrels of oil could be drilled for world's needs in transportion. The Arctic became a resource to mainly Russia, Canada, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, and the United States. On the other hand, Global Warming caused many of the ice to melt. Not only does the sea level rise, but the animals that depend on its habitat may die. Countless have already, but more and more would die soon. Also, when the workers drill for oil, they found out that the barrels could be sold for forty dollars a barrel, instead of one hundred fifty. This benefits our economy today. However, there is much competition to contain this exellent source for our needs. There could be the freezing climate to deal with, drilling and plowing through those tremendous packs of strong ice, or maybe just trying to find the oil or natural gas liquid. Well, you could refer this to a "tug of-war" over the Arctic.
