Class Response: Owl Pellets

Owls are totally cool creatures. They have hyper hearing, keen eyesight and a taste for rats, moles, shrews, rodents, and other nocturnal creatures. Also, when they eat, they digest the nutrients then spit out a pellet. The pellet is a ball of bones and other materials from the victim the owl has ate. Normally, an owl spits out about one pellet a day. Each pellet can include around two creatures. Well, everyone in class got to experience picking out the bones and fur, while sorting them carefully. Then we put the bones together to determine what kind of animal the owl had ate. Owls have cool style of living.
