Everyone in the country of America, pretty much knows how severe pollution is and how much it is an immense problem for the U.S. However, some of our natural resources reduces some pollution. These are just leaves from a tree. It turns out that pollution turns leaves magnetic. Certain leaves have bumpy and wavy surfaces that easily trap pollution- this is how the pollution turns the leaves magnetic. It is mainly the texture of a leaf. At the Western Washington University, a geophysicist, Bernie Housen, said that the leaves are "pretty efficient particle collectors."All of this started Europe, where scientists first noticed that a particulate matter was sticking to leaves. This particulate matter included gases, fuel, different compounds and other combustion from industrial areas. Also, these "pollution-trapping leaves" can serve as an inexpensive way to monitor pollution levels. In my opinion, since there are countless of busy roadways and highways, the entire world should plant one of those kinds of trees there. As you now can see, pollution does have a few different ways of preventing it; completely stopping the uses, a futuristic machine or just plant a tree.

Wow I've never heard of this before. It's pretty weird. But I also think it's pretty cool, and it's definitely a creative idea to use them as in inexpensive way to monitor pollution levels.
ReplyDeleteThis is good if they plant it in smog filled cities it will help them by removing the smog and its cheap and effective way to remove polution.
